HISTORY

Our extraordinary crew has, over many years, brought many projects to life at Burning Man. From humble beginnings helping to create The Black Rock Burner Hostel; our first big solo project was Megatropolis in 2010. In 2011 we were given the task of creating the remarkable Temple of Transition. After a year helping Alex Grey with his art space, The Control Tower was born. In 2015 we collaborated with a Taiwanese crew to build and burn Mazu: Godess of the Empty Sea. In 2017 The Temple for Peace appeared in the Netherlands. And now the Conecophony Collective has risen to give Life and Death to Coney McConeFace.

MEGATROPOLIS

BURNING MAN 2010

The Life and Death of a City. In 2010 our hardy International crew constructed a city designed to live for a week and then blew it up. We included a casino , general store, bank , frog bat and viewing tower. Graffiti and street art was encouraged.

TEMPLE OF TRANSITION

BURNING MAN 2011

This spectacular temple was the product of the dedication and effort from hundreds of supporters from all over the world. The Earth Harp & Gamelatron introduced sound and performance. The temple provided space for tens of thousands of visitors to leave messages and experience letting go . It was a yearlong project that burned
in absolute silence for 23 minutes. A truly humbling experience.

CONTROL TOWER

2015

If you want to blow huge flames into the sky while playing with lights and lasers then build a tower. A unique parabolic bamboo tower housed huge propane delivery portals which made the White Party that year unforgettable.

MAZU GODDESS OF THE EMPTY SEA

BURNING MAN 2015

A homage to Taiwanese culture and mythology. A collaboration between the Dream Community in Taipei and our US based crew. Statues, lamp lights, enormous lotus flowers and fire breathing dragons. A spectacular event and a very beautiful burn.

Our friends in The Netherlands generously hosted our idea for a Temple 4 Peace on a stunning lake . Our New Zealand crews first successful installation in Europe.
